The Newman Excavation 100 Short Course Off Road Event- 5th round of the 2021 AORRA Mickey Thompson ARB QLD Off road Racing Championships, 17th - 18th July 2021.


Thank you to Newman Excavation and the Mackay Off Road Racing Inc. for hosting such a super event.. police escort through town, live music, commentary throughout the weekend, awesome track and pit setup.. truely spectacular.


The track had it all - wide open straight sections, big rolling burms, whoops and jumps - plenty to keep the spectators on their toes. 


We were really happy with Betty’s performance at this event, thank you to Comiskey Mining Services for the awesome helicopter footage and our mates at INNOVV for ensuring every moment of this great event was captured on camera. 


Special thanks to CafeDirt for another, truely awesome video production- absolutely LOVE your work. 


To the outright winners, Kye Crosswell, Bailey Coxen and Josh Wiedman, hats off to you fellas. It’s such a fine line in the SXS machines between putting in a solid drive or driving the wheels right off the car. 


In our unlimited class Kent Battle unleashed the fury in his no. 35 Nortrans backed machine taking the win, followed by Derek Rose all the way from Warialda in his Chapmans Auto Repairs, Performance Dyno Tuning and Electrical tuned buggy. 


James Sant from Port Douglas with his no. 44 Razorback finished the weekend in 3rd and then our no. 23 Razorback finished up 4th in class and 9th outright. 


It’s pretty special to get out on the track and rub shoulders with some of the country's top off road talent, and then in the pits they open to give you guidance and advice to help you up your game. Looking forward to the next event at the Don River Dash in a couple of weeks.
